This special weekend course concentrates on rig tune and sail trim for the cruising yachtsman. Under the expert guidance of our very experienced instructors you will look at the differences between masthead and fractional rigs, discover how to set up and tune a rig and learn what factors are likely to lead to rigging failure.
Within this course we will examine the intricacies of
- The use of tell-tails;
- Positioning the Genoa Cars;
- Causes of Weather helm;
- Adjusting Draft;
- Use of the Traveller;
- Sail Twist ;
- The use of the Spinnakers or Gennaker
It is really recommend that this course or only really undertaken when you know and understand how to sail because this is not a learn to sail course but an enhance the skills you already have.
